Post Natal Training is about reconnecting with your body after having a baby. As you are probably very aware, your body goes through big changes in pregnancy so getting back to normal takes a bit of time, and dedication although results are often seen very quickly. It's important to start out gently and build up the intensity of a workout once your strength improves.
Every woman has a different birth and this can often affect their training. For example women who have had a c-section will need a lot longer to recover both internally and externally and shouldn't do any exercises that cause pain or discomfort. Initially it’s all about reconnecting with your body and switching muscles back on using safe and effective exercises to enable you to handle everyday tasks. As your body progresses so will the exercises, increasing strength and mobility.
There are many other things that can affect training, such as a natural delivery, episiotomy, tearing, C-section, infections, recovery, and postpartum depression. If you feel that anything is holding you back from training, please give me a call to discuss it further. Training your body after you have had your little one should never feel like a chore. Fun, effective workouts are all you need to get you back to feeling yourself again!

What I do!
It's important to work the whole body and so I design my programmes to use breathing, movement and resistance exercises, which specifically address posture, function and strength while also paying special attention to the core (working from the inside out) and pelvic floor muscles.
I am completely mobile, so can come to your home or to a park/outside area of your choice.
